Dr. David Orr is Chief Operating Officer directing KIYATEC's scientific research, engineering development, and manufacturing efforts.  Prior to KIYATEC, David garnered significant experience in biomedical and industrial R&D, operations and financial management, and strategic business analysis while serving in a variety of roles with Toyota Motors, Dwyer Instruments, Ingersoll-Rand, and Cook Medical.  He serves as an adjunct professor in the Clemson University Department of Bioengineering as well as the Institute for Biological Interfaces of Engineering (IBIOE).

David graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and completed a M.B.A. from Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management with concentrations in operations and technology management.  He also completed a Ph.D. in Bioengineering with a minor in Experimental Statistics from Clemson University where his research focused on bioreactor development and tissue engineering of three-dimensional cellular constructs.  Inventor of KIYATEC's platform technology, David continues his work to deliver enabling products for the pharmaceutical, biomedical and life science industries.
