KIYATEC was founded in 2005 with a corporate mission to commercialize novel 3D cell culture technology developed in the laboratories of the Department of Bioengineering at Clemson University.  Guided by the company's underlying principle of renewing life through advanced technology, KIYATEC personnel work to deliver enabling 3D cell culture tools for the pharmaceutical, biomedical and life science industries.  These efforts will ultimately provide researchers and clinicians with advanced in vitro diagnostics for improved understanding in cell and systems biology, drug development, and clinical diagnosis.

Commercial Markets

Institutional research laboratories need viable 3D cell culture technology to discover answers to fundamental life science questions about cell physiology and biological systems.

Pharmaceutical companies need viable 3D cell culture technology to develop new drug candidates and capture failures prior to moving into expensive clinical trials.

Clinical laboratories need viable 3D cell culture technology to diagnose patients with improved accuracy and determine the optimal therapy for personalized medicine.

KIYATEC is working diligently at its Pendleton, South Carolina office and laboratory to develop 3D cell culture technology that provides more accurate simulation of phenomenon inherent within the living systems of the body.  Accurate modeling of these dynamic conditions provides opportunity for enhanced diagnostics and advanced medical treatments that will benefit society through the resulting improvements in healthcare and its associated costs.
